Why Recycling isn’t effective

The blue waste bin. Also known as the classic dumpster where you shove any type of plastic or glass in to recycle those materials. But many recycling plants have run into the issue where lots of plastic isn’t able to be recycled because of the residue and unclean garbage that is turned in. So now we need to start thinking….how can we become more effective with what we submit to the plants? How can we really make a difference without a whole lot of effort?

Did you know that only 9% of plastic is recycled globally? That China won’t take plastic that isn’t 99.5% clean. We can make this difference together and we need to be effective as a union to make sure that recycling can flow as freely as it should.
