As people tend to grow out of their clothes frequently, they fill up their closets with clothes they have not worn in a while. Rather than selling or trashing the clothes, many have started to donate their clothes to extend its lifetime in efforts of keeping these clothes out of landfills and into the hands of someone who needs them. If you donate your clothes to Goodwill, some of the clothes that are donated are resold in thrift stores or sent directly to a person in need. However, the majority arrive in bad conditions. These clothes that arrive in bad conditions are sold at an outlet where one can buy clothes by the pound. Those clothes that remain in the outlet however, are salvaged and recycled. Donating your clothes is an environmentally friendly solution that also benefits the people who are in need of clothes.
